Built by someone who came home.
Afora Club is run by two founders who live between Europe and Ghana, and built what they couldn't find.
"Fifteen years in UK real estate. Five years ago I moved to Accra for a better lifestyle and better opportunities, and I stayed. I founded Ballon d'Or Homes for the buyer who wants something different to what's already here: luxury, space, wealth building, with the finish and standards I brought from Britain. Homes people are proud to hand over."
Building Ballon d'Or Homes showed me the gap. For every buyer, there are many more who want the ease of coming home without making the full move. Afora Club is for them. The luxury access point for anyone who wants to belong in Accra with comfort and ease, and a trusted source to put it all together. A home for the stay, a car and a driver — the access and belonging.
Adrienne, co-founder of Afora Club and founder of Ballon d'Or Homes
"Travelling back and forth between Brussels and Ghana to see family showed me both the beautiful side of coming home, and the difficulties of truly belonging when you don't live there full-time.
When I brought my business, Drills, to Ghana, I experienced this even more. Getting around was difficult without my own vehicle, and staying in hotels became expensive — especially when my family home was too far from where my work required me to be.
It made me realise that coming home shouldn't have to mean starting from scratch every time. You should be able to arrive, have somewhere comfortable to stay, get around easily, and feel at home — without the cost and complexity of owning everything yourself.
That experience became part of the thinking behind Afora Club."
Nii Okyne, founder of Drills and co-founder of Afora Club
What we believe.
Access, not ownership.
Not for living here. For belonging here. The feeling of a home, a car and your people in Accra, and none of the admin.
The hero is belonging, not the property.
The point is how it feels to come home, not what's on the deed.
Both lives, fully.
London, New York, Paris, Toronto, Brussels, Atlanta: wherever you live isn't a before. You keep it. You just keep Accra too.
Trusted, on the ground.
Five years living in Accra's real economy.
From experience to vision.
Our lived experiences and connection to Africa made us realise that more could be done to build the infrastructure around coming home — not only for the customer, but for the people who live and work here.
Afora Club is designed to create a system that works for both.
For our members, that means making it easier to move, invest, connect and belong.
For those employed by Afora Club, it means creating meaningful employment, real career growth and access to better opportunities — supported by systems that can contribute to a better standard of living.
Because building better access to Africa should also mean building better opportunities within it.
